Sinopsis
Excerpt from English Grammar in Familiar Lectures: Accompanied by a Compendium, Embracing a New Systematick Order of Parsing, a New System of Punctuation, Exercises in False Syntax, and a System of Philosophical Grammar, in Notes; To Which Are Added, an Appendix, and a Key to the Exercises
As this work proposesa new mode of parsing, and, pursues an arrange ment essentially different from'that' generally adopted, it, may not be deemed improper for the author to give some directions to those who may be dis posed to use it. Perhaps they who take only a sli ht' view of the order of parsing, will not consider it new, but blend it with ose long since adppted. Some Writers have, indeed, attempted plans somewhat but in no instance have they reduced them to what the author considers a regrdar.
