I am pleased to offer a vintage chemistry book (175+ years old) bound in full calf leather with a black & gilt title label on the spine and titled: Elements of Chemistry Containing the Principles of the Science both Experimental ad Theoretical by Alonzo Gray. This small leather-bound hardcover book (4 ½ x 7 ¼ inches, 396 pages) was published by Mark H. Newman of New York dated 1846 and the Twelfth Edition Revised and Enlarged. The book is well illustrated and the Index of Figures (the last page in the book) includes 109 Figures. I will also include some photos of the Table of Contents although it goes on for many more pages; this will give you further information on what to expect. Condition: This book is in good condition. The leather boards are rubbed and worn and lightly soiled with the corners exposed and the gutters cracked front and back although still attached with the sewn binding. The black and gilt title label on the spine is still neat and presentable. Inside the book is unmarked but has been exposed to moisture and shows it with distinct tide lines on the endpapers front and back but less prominent elsewhere in the book. There is darkening and light random soiling on many pages but in no cases is it severe enough to obscure the text. Basically, it almost seems appropriate for its age. N° de ref. del artículo 29
