Ella Ford had been involved in a road accident in which a young woman and her son died. One year later Ella, an Estate Agent in the property business she and her husband Andrew run, is still suffering from flashbacks to the accident scene. She is being treated for PostTraumatic Stress Disorder but her condition shows no improvement. Andrew, frustrated by Ella's depression, embarks on an affair with model Maxine Doran. As Ella passes the first anniversary of her accident, she begins to realise that her flashbacks all focus on the woman, Karen Trevor, who died at the scene. When Ella is asked to handle the sale of Manor House, the Georgian home where Karen grew up, she sees this as an opportunity to overcome her growing obsession with Karen Trevor. Ella's condition begins to improve when she attends specialist Dr. Peter Sheehan. But she struggles towards full recovery as her marriage falters and she and Andrew are put under pressure in their business by the thuggish but very successful Jason Laide and the Cox Brothers property developers. As events unfold, Ella realises that Manor House seems to be at the centre of all the turmoil around her. Coincidence? Fate? These are the questions Ella has to answer before she can find peace of mind and contentment.
