One of 101 titles in the St. Joseph Picture Book Series, this book by popular author Rev. Jude Winkler, OFM. Conv. introduces children to the story of Easter and the glory of Jesus' Resurrection in easily understandable terms. Among the features of this book are:

The Easter Story is one of the most important parts of the Catholic faith because it tells us about Jesus' great love for us and how He saved us from our sins. For Catholic children, understanding The Easter Story helps them to see how much Jesus cares for them and how special His gift of eternal life is.

The Easter Story begins with Holy Week, which includes Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday. On Palm Sunday, we remember how Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem. Then, on Holy Thursday, we learn about the Last Supper, where Jesus gave us the gift of the Eucharist. Good Friday is a sad day because it is when Jesus was crucified and died on the cross to take away our sins. This shows just how much He loves us--He was willing to suffer and die for us. But the story does not end there! Three days later, on Easter Sunday, Jesus rose from the dead in the Resurrection. This is what makes Easter such a joyful celebration. Jesus' Resurrection means that death is not the end and that we can live forever with Him in heaven if we follow His teachings and live good lives.

For Catholic children, The Easter Story is important because it teaches them about hope, love, and forgiveness. It reminds them that no matter how hard things get, Jesus is always with them, and His love is stronger than anything, even death. Easter is the celebration of new life in Jesus, and it fills our hearts with joy and faith in His promises.
