Bob Dylan appeals as much to the generation of today as to his contemporaries. This attractively-priced paperback edition of early Dylan presents rare pictures of Dylan's early years by three leading rock photographers. Barry Feinstein, Daniel Kramer and Jim Marshall were alongside Dylan from the beginning and were given unique and personal access to the artist and his life behind the scenes.
The conversational and personal captions by the authors explain each photograph and shed light on Dylan's life during those times - recording, playing pinball, hamming for the camera, spending time with girlfriends, or simply lost in thought. Some of the photographs are well-known classics that now belong in the permanent collection sof the Whitney Museum of American Art and the George Eastman House. Many others, however, appeared in this book for the first time and provide rare visual footbage of the early years of America's most compelling musical artist.
Acerca del autor: Barry Feinstein was exclusive photographer on Dylan's 1966 and 1974 tours. Daniel Kramer was nominated by the Music Journalism Awards for his photographs of Bob Dylan. Jim Marshall is the author of several books and has 500 album and CD covers to his credit.
