Bayntun half leather binding, in green morocco with cloth covered boards, gilt titles and decoration to the spine compartments, gilt filet to the leather edges, page top edges gilt, marbled end papers, text block tight, pages tanned. Spine faded to brown.
On the title page: "Read, but do'nt Practice: for the Author finds, They which live Honeft have moft quiet mindes."
Pagination: Vol I ? xvii, [xviii-xx], 471pp. Vol II ? [xxiv], 378pp. Vol III ? [iv], 304pp. Vol IV ? [vi], 324pp.
Provenance: no inscriptions or bookplates.
