The workbook describes the basic principles of engineering drawing as set out in BS308 "Engineering drawing practice". Some extracts from BS4500 "ISO limits and fits" are also included. The book follows the structure of the other workbooks in the CAE series - Learning Assignments with background information, practical tasks and notes of further guidance or amplification. There are 14 learning assignments each with a number of associated tasks. Since engineering drawing uses graphical presentation, the workbook contains a number of drawings and diagrams. The text includes topics such as orthographic projection, scales, tolerances, hatching, limits, fits, machining and surface texture indication.
