Neuware - 'A Dictionary of Old English Music Musical Instruments' is a comprehensive reference work dedicated to the rich history of musical performance and instrument craftsmanship in England's early centuries. Authored by Jeffrey Pulver, this scholarly compilation serves as an essential guide for musicologists, historians, and enthusiasts of early music. The work meticulously catalogs the various instruments that defined the English musical landscape, ranging from the medieval era through the Renaissance. Each entry provides detailed insights into the construction, usage, and evolution of specific instruments, offering a window into the cultural and social role of music in historical England.
