Spot Johnie Marx donned the author’s mantle with his first children’s publication, “A Day with Dad”. After enduring years of fluctuating estrangement with his biological father, Marx was inspired to write “A Day with Dad” in dedication to his maternal grandfather. Some men are able to heal from the alienation of their fathers while many others suffer throughout their entire lifetime. The inability to heal from a father-son separation sets the course for men to pass their hurt onto offspring, and succeeding generations. “A Day with Dad” is meant to be an inspiration for fathers and sons, and restore broken bonds where they exist. Marx lives in Atlanta, Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Marx is a Christian, who believes in traditional family values. Readers will find underlying elements of psychology and spirituality woven into his storylines. The path to adulthood begins at home. It is Marx's hope that readers will find enjoyment and inspiration. Stay tuned for future publications from Spot Johnie Marx.
