Descripción del artículo del vendedor

David Milne: edited by Ian M. Thom; with essays by Mehan Bice, Christine Boyanoski, Lora Senechal Carney, Francoise-Marc Gagnon, David P. Silcox & Ian M. Thom; The Vancouver Art Gallery and McMichael Canadian Art Collection in association with Douglas & McIntyre Ltd., Vancouver, 1991. From the blurb – Art is love wrote David Milne, but not love of man or child, or love of woman, nor love of nature or love of country or of mankind. It is just love, love without an object, a spilling of the oil of love. Art is for the Marys, not for the Marthas. Long known as a painter’s painter, David Milne has only begun to receive the public recognition he deserves. Over 140 full-page illustrations – the majority in colour – document the full scope of Milne’s painting career. This large book, 223 pages, is in fine condition in a fine dust jacket that is now in a protective mylar wrap. This large volume may require additional postage.…
