Book condition: fair, extremely scarce copy, number 50 of only 60 printed as opposed to the more common printing of 500 copies, this is the Elizabethan version from Amyot's translation by Angel Daye, reprinted from the unique original and edited by Joseph Jacobs, boards appear to have suffered from moisture damage as they show some warping, soiling and staining, more so to front, and spine, interior shows a few light pencil notes on ffep and back pastedown along with staining to pastedowns and endpapers, a few light stains to bottom of title page otherwise interior near pristine, binding tight, 155 pages, 8.25 X 11.75 inches.
