There’s no better time than now to unlock the full potential of our minds. The brain capital of our children—and ourselves—is more valuable than ever. But what exactly is brain capital? It’s the powerful combination of brain health and brain skills like curiosity, creativity, adaptability, and resilience that fuels our ability to thrive and flourish.
As parents, teachers, and caregivers, it's essential that we nurture this from the very beginning—and in our own lives, starting now.
This book looks like a children’s book, but we call our children’s books ‘Inner Child’ books because our books are meant for adults as well as for children. Our ‘Inner Child’ books are for anyone who needs to discover, or rediscover, new elements of themselves and to see the power of their brains and creative minds at work within their social and cultural environments.
In this rhyming adventure, join Shawn 'The Creative Kid' as he journeys through his day using the 16 Diamond Tools of NeuroSomatic Creativity®—practical strategies that strengthen his imagination, build his brain, and inspire others to do the same. Following this dynamic section, there are 60 pages of information, advice, and ideas on how to increase creative thinking and lower your risk for dementia and other cognitive illnesses.
"Creativity isn’t just about the arts; it’s a core function of brain capital that supports learning, cognitive flexibility, emotional well-being, and lifelong resilience. By investing in brain health and creativity early, we help raise the next generation of learners, innovators, and resilient thinkers.
— Dr. Krystal Culler, Founder & Director, Virtual Brain Health Center

He also helped establish the nation's first Brain Capital Awareness Month in Phoenix, Arizona and Buckeye Arizona, which is the fastest growing city in the US. He is currently working on passing an Arizona bill with Arizona government to make sure children are protecting their brains with helmets. He still enjoys sprinklers, but has sparked an interest in solving the Rubik's cube faster than his dad. He loves being observant and plays his piano to exercise his mind. He speaks about creativity, curiosity and the brain at national events and is an honorary brain health actionist at the Center for BrainHealth in Dallas, Texas.
