We then move quickly into attachment theory and why that matters in the classroom and in life. We expand on that with befriendable little owls, watchdogs, and possums inspired by Robyn Gobbel's work and how they connect to the work of other relationally-informed models such as TBRI®, Dr. Perry's arousal continuum, and other sensory and neuro-focused approaches. Once readers have the foundations of the whys behind behaviors (for their students and themselves), we get straight to the strategies.
We include scripts, charts, lesson plan ideas, content ideas, "what to do when" sections and strategies you can use immediately with no investment of time or resources. We finish the book with practical and honest conversations on how to work with various types of administrators and parents. The last chapter is our favorite. It's like a little love note to teachers who have been told to do "self-care" but not given the time or resources to access the ideas given. Returns Policy
We ask all customers to contact us for authorisation should they wish to return their order. Orders returned without authorisation may not be credited.
If you wish to return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to obtain authorisation.
Returns requested beyond this time will not be authorised.
Our team will provide full instructions on how to return your order and once received our returns department will process your refund.
Please note the cost to return any unwanted order to us is borne by the buyer.
