Paperback. The deeper he dives, the stronger he gets. The deeper he dives, the closer it wakes. Three hundred years ago the sea rose in a single night and swallowed the world. Now the drowned cities are the only treasure left, and only divers bonded to an anchor stone can reach them. Kellan Voss has never had a stone. At twenty-seven he is the oldest line tender in Brinehaven, holding the rope for divers who get to do the one thing he wants most, and spending every coin he earns searching for the mother who vanished six years ago. Then he pulls a cracked black stone out of the mud of a drowned street. A dead stone, the Lantern Company says. Worthless. Banned. Except this one eats other relics, and every relic it eats makes Kellan stronger. With a salvage ship seventy-two days from being seized, a crew of misfits who vote on everything, a rival captain who cheats to win, and the most powerful company in the world quietly letting him grow, Kellan follows his mother's trail into a drowned bell tower, a market city risen from the deep, and finally the Harrow Trench, where a sealed Gate waits at the bottom of the world. Something is behind that Gate. And it knows his name. Depthbound is a fast, clean ocean-fantasy adventure for readers who love progression fantasy, treasure-hunting crews, found family, and a mystery that goes deeper with every chapter. No graphic content, no romance beyond a held hand, and a cliffhanger built to pull you straight into Book Two. Book One of the four-book Depthbound series. This item is printed on demand.
