The book also debunks the 20th century Billy the Kid imposter hoaxes of 'Brushy Bill' Roberts and John Miller, which were based on denying that Garrett fatally shot the Kid on July 14, 1881, claimed he killed an innocent victim instead, and lied that Billy survived to old age as themselves. Also hoaxbusted are the 21st century 'Billy the Kid Case' hoax and the 'Cold Case Billy the Kid' megahoax, built on those old imposters' lies, with more added.
