Furthermore, §IVB2c (IV) dealing with Hakan Tornebohm's methodological theory of confirmation and the last section of §IVB2e---on explanation---have been completely rewritten because the theory outlined there underwent considerable development during the year that has passed since the first edition. The 'Introduction' is entirely new. It serves both as a 'Zuriechung' to and a summary of both volumes."
