nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Connecting Knowledge is a practical collection of 100 questions, instructions and reflections designed to help organisations turn fragmented information, expertise and experience into shared organisational capability.Knowledge rarely sits neatly in one place. It is distributed across teams, functions, specialists, systems, relationships and the people closest to the work. The challenge is not simply having knowledge. It is ensuring that what one part of the organisation knows can reach another part with enough context, meaning and trust to be useful.Connecting Knowledge explores ten dimensions of organisational connection: shared outcomes, moving information across boundaries, complete handovers, connecting decisions to reality, incentives and cooperation, informal influence, trust and truth, expertise that travels, connection to the external environment, and preserving connection through change. Each page contains a single prompt that can be used independently in a leadership meeting, governance discussion, project review, workshop or cross-functional conversation. The questions challenge silos, expose where meaning is lost and encourage leaders to examine the relationships through which organisational intelligence actually moves.A shared dashboard does not guarantee shared understanding. A handover is more than the movement of a document. And a strategically coherent decision can still fail when knowledge from the point of delivery never reaches the people making it. These are the connections that determine whether separate parts of an organisation can operate intelligently as a whole. Part of the six-volume Intelligent Risk Series, Connecting Knowledge is designed for executives, directors, governance professionals, risk practitioners, program and project leaders, knowledge professionals and decision-makers working across organisational boundaries.Knowledge becomes organisational capability when it can move, connect and remain useful beyond the person or function that first held it.…

CONNECTING KNOWLEDGE
Breaking organisational silos and turning dispersed information into collective intelligence.
An organisation can know everything it needs to know and still make the wrong decision.
The problem is often not what people know.
It is whether the organisation can bring what they know together when it matters.
Information becomes trapped within teams. Expertise remains local. Lessons fail to cross boundaries. Different functions interpret the same situation differently. Decisions are made without perspectives that exist elsewhere. And valuable knowledge can be distributed throughout an organisation without ever becoming collective understanding.
For leaders, this creates a fundamental problem:
How do you make intelligent organisational decisions when no single person, team or function holds the complete picture?
Connecting Knowledge is about closing the distance between what an organisation knows and what it can collectively understand and use.
The sixth volume in the Intelligent Risk Series, it brings together 100 questions, provocations and reflections designed to help leaders challenge how information moves, how expertise is shared, how different perspectives are connected and how fragmented knowledge becomes organisational intelligence.
This is not a book about collecting more information.
It is about making better use of the knowledge the organisation already possesses.
That means looking beyond communication alone. Information can be shared without being understood. Meetings can bring people together without connecting their thinking. Technology can make knowledge accessible without ensuring that it influences the decisions that matter.
The challenge is not simply getting information from one place to another.
It is creating the connections through which separate pieces of knowledge become something the organisation could not have understood alone.
This is not a book that needs to be read from beginning to end.
Open it anywhere.
Bring one page into an executive meeting. Use another when teams are working from different assumptions. Put a question to a project crossing organisational boundaries. Take one into a strategy or governance discussion when information exists but understanding does not. Return when the answer seems to be somewhere in the organisation—but nobody quite knows where.
Some pages may strengthen connections that already exist.
Others may reveal where knowledge stops moving.
Because organisational intelligence is not determined by how much an organisation knows, but by how well it can connect what it knows when it matters.
