Print on Demand. This book offers an insightful interpretation of a Biblical text, specifically the verse from the Gospel of Matthew 6:27: "The Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works." Through a captivating analysis of this verse, the author delves into the profound implications of Christ's promised return and its significance for human existence. The book explores the historical and literary context of the verse, shedding light on its original meaning and reception. Delving deeper, the author examines the theological concepts of the "Son of Man," the "glory of the Father," and the nature of divine judgment. Beyond its historical and theological dimensions, the book also explores the practical implications of Christ's return for individuals and society. It emphasizes the importance of living a virtuous life, guided by principles of justice, love, and compassion. By doing so, the author argues, we not only align ourselves with the teachings of Christ but also contribute to the progress of humanity towards a more just and harmonious world. Ultimately, the book invites readers to reflect on the profound significance of Christ's promised return, inspiring them to embrace a life of purpose and meaning in anticipation of his ultimate triumph. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Again, the whole spirit of our Lord's religion and character forbids us to interpret his lan guage as referring to any visible appearance of himself in heavenly glory. He came not to daz zle the sight, but to bless the mind, to purify the spiritual principle from all the illusions of the senses. He aspired to the glory not of natural, but of moral power. He was himself too spi ritual to be attracted by the prospect of a person al display, even though it should be extraordi nary and unearthly. His glory, like the true glory of God, was inward and invisible. It did not address the eye, but the mind, the heart. When, therefore, we hear Jesus Christ speaking of power and glory, we must interpret his lan guage according to the elevated ideas of power and glory which he has given us reason to be lieve be cherished.
