[8] + 506 + [6] pp. 9.25 x 6 . 8vo. Hardcover. Overall fair. Modern hardcover rebinding, with minor scuffing and wear to exterior. Hinges remain tight. Loss to much of original title label on spine. First six leaves are single-side facsimiles of slightly smaller size. Includes six foldout plates at rear with light wear. Staining remnants to bottom portion of plates and pages towards rear. Light markings and inscriptions. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photos and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece by George Peacock (1791-1858), an Anglican cleric and English mathematician. Peacock was instrumental in the foundation of what is often called the British algebra of logic, along with other mathematical advancements and promotions. COLN1820BKLX.
