Sinopsis
This is the second edition of Catholic Compendium, the popular, handy, well researched, and straightforward source for information on Catholicism. It's sections on the Mass, the Saints, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and Purgatory are all expanded. The Nicene Creed, the other Sacraments, Sacramentals, Indulgences, the Saints, Prayer, and the Church’s organization and calendar are also fully covered. Catholic Compendium also has an extensive chapter that presents morality from the standpoint of the virtues. This book provides a solid foundation and reference for spiritual growth and moral living for students finishing CCD classes, those newly received into the Church, and the Catholics "out in the pews". Catholic Compendium's second edition retains the Church’s Permission to Publish: it’s Imprimatur. Nothing in this book misstates or is in conflict with Catholic beliefs or moral teachings. The book is fully indexed and has over 470 endnotes.
