It speaks for itself, and in a manner that cannot fail to command extensive interest. Many of its suggestions are deserving of large respect; many of its sentences sparkle with genius; the glow of a high enthusiasm, like the pas sion for battle, mantles most of its pages. Though not always free from rhetorical faults, it exhibits in general marked skill in style and diction; it shows extensive, though not always well-digested learning; it manifests theological acumen and vigor, though sometimes betraying a lack of discrimination and of depth; it everywhere reveals admi rable ardor and earnestness, even in some instances at the sacrifice of discretion. It introduces the reader to a wide and interesting, though somewhat multifarious collection of material, but fails in some degree to organize such material into full unity and compactness it is too much a congeries or compilation - too little a single, well-developed, vital whole. All in all, however, it will not only take its place fitly among the brightest productions from the fertile pen of its author, but also rank high in the general list of inau gural discourses of this class.

No address delivered of late years on the platform of any among our Theological Seminaries has attracted so much attention or excited such varied comment as the one whose consideration is now proposed. This interest is due in part to the special prominence of the Institution where the address was delivered, and to the nature and purpose of the new Professorship at the time endowed and established, and in part also to the high standing of the speaker as one of the foremost scholars on the continent in particular lines of study and instruction. What was said in the address on certain doctrinal questions of great importance, and especially on some matters which are just now exciting controversy among us, doubtless tended to increase this interest. There are also some elements in the existing condition of Protestant thought generally, in the apparently transitional character of the period, in the popular disaffection toward old methods and opinions, in the extensive desire for what is novel and even revolutionary in the domain of theology, which have contributed still further to such interest. And these exceptional features of the case - easily recognized by all - will furnish, it is believed, whatever justification is needful for a sincere, faithful, earnest examination of this remarkable address, as it is now in an authoritative form published for general inspection.

Derecho al desistimiento

Tiene derecho a rescindir este contrato en un plazo de 14 días sin dar ningún motivo.
El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento
Si rescinde este contrato, le reembolsaremos todos los pagos que hayamos recibido de usted, incluidos los gastos de envío (excepto los gastos adicionales que surjan si elige un tipo de envío que no sea el tipo de envío estándar más económico que ofrecemos).
Podemos hacer una deducción del reembolso por la pérdida de valor de cualquier bien suministrado, si la pérdida es el resultado de una manipulación innecesaria por su parte.
Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
Efectuaremos el reembolso utilizando el mismo medio de pago que utilizó para la transacción inicial, a menos que haya acordado expresamente lo contrario; en cualquier caso, no incurrirá en ningún cargo como resultado de dicho reembolso.
Podremos retener el reembolso hasta que hayamos recibido los bienes o hasta que nos haya presentado una prueba de que los ha devuelto, lo que ocurra primero.
Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a Buchpark, Trebbin, Germany, sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
