The world is facing a serious problem: Loneliness. The US Surgeon General describes this in his 2023 report as “Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation.” CNN’s article entitled “WHO Makes Loneliness a Global Health Priority with New Commission on Social Connection” discusses how the World Health Organization is making loneliness a priority.
