What if one beautiful Christmas morning could remind you of everything God has promised?

Outside her window, freshly fallen snow glistens beneath the rising sun. Evergreen branches bend beneath their beautiful white covering. Red berries sparkle among the trees. Warm log cabins rest peacefully in the distance, and a winding snowy path disappears into the woods.

Then he arrives.

A magnificent red cardinal.

Brilliant against the snow, the little cardinal settles among the evergreen branches and begins to sing.

For a woman who has spent much of her life loving, nurturing, raising her children, helping with her grandchildren, and building a beautiful life with her hardworking husband, this quieter season has given her something precious:

Time.

Time to sit beside the window.

Time to open her Bible.

Time to enjoy a steaming cup of cocoa on a Christmas morning.

Time to worship Jesus.

And time to discover that the beauty surrounding her seems to awaken memories of the promises already waiting within the Word of God.

The cardinal's brilliant red turns her heart toward redemption through the blood of Jesus.

The glistening white snow reminds her that sins once scarlet can become white as snow.

The magnificent evergreens remind her of abundant and enduring life.

The endless blue sky lifts her thoughts toward Heaven and the glorious return of Jesus Christ.

The warm cabins remind her of His promise: “I go to prepare a place for you.”

And the beautiful snow-covered path reminds her that she can keep walking by faith—even when she cannot see around the bend.

But as Christmas morning unfolds, she discovers something even more beautiful:

The cardinal was never the promise.

Jesus was.

The Cardinal Outside My Window: A Christmas Story of Hope, Heaven, and the Promises of God is a warm, uplifting, Scripture-centered little Christmas story celebrating redemption, abundant life, gratitude, faith, Heaven, the beauty of God's creation, and the unchanging promises of God.

Written as a peaceful one-hour read, this tiny Christmas treasure is perfect for a quiet morning with Jesus, holiday bedside reading, or a meaningful Christian Christmas gift for mothers, grandmothers, wives, sisters, friends, and women who cherish inspirational stories of faith.

Pour something warm.

Find your favorite chair.

Open your heart to wonder.

And come sit beside the window.

The snow is glistening.

The cardinal is singing.

Christmas morning is dawning.

And the promises of God are still true.

Sometimes you only need to look again to realize how beautifully God has already blessed your life.
