1958. No Edition Remarks. 850 pages. Full black flexible leather with gilt lettering to front and spine, in a black cloth-and-card slipcase. Dated 1958 with no later printings mentioned. All text block edges red, with rounded corners. 3 pastel ribbon place-markers. Rubricated text. Pages have slight tanning and subtle warping. Binding is firm. Slightly dusty pastedowns. Previous owner's inscriptions to second and third blank leaves, with an embossed ex libris stamp. Attached bookmarks are frayed, creased and tanned at the ends. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with minimal bumping to corners and minor bumping and rubbing to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall; very mild surface denting. Gilt is bright.
