This is a book for the ones who didn’t lose God—but lost the version of God they were given.
For those who are spiritual but not religious, who still pray but no longer know where they belong.
For those who love the Church yet feel boxed in, burned out, or misaligned.
For leaders, caregivers, and counselors who poured themselves out—and quietly broke.
For anyone who has wrestled with depression and wondered why faith didn’t “fix it.”
This is not a book about easy answers.
It’s not a conversion pitch.
It’s not a story of arrival.
It’s a story of relearning God—beyond certainty, punishment, and perfection.
A God who is present in ambiguity.
A God who does not abandon us in silence.
A God who belongs to no single religion and refuses to be boxed in.
This book speaks honestly about:
-
When faith stops working
-
Disappointment with God, Church, and self
-
Depression as a lived, ongoing reality—not a failure
-
Spiritual injury and the courage to name it
-
Relearning God without losing depth
-
Choosing religion again—or choosing God without it
If you’ve ever thought:
“I still believe… but not the way I was taught.”
“I love God, but church feels unsafe.”
“I’m faithful—and still struggling.”
This book is for you.
