How you think - is how you wire your brain! The author is well respected for how he explains scientific issues in clear and a ready language that anyone can understand and relate to. "Brain Plasticity: is a very important book, because it brings a whole new understanding to how the brain becomes constructed and how the Mind plays a very important part in this, especially in the development of our intelligence. Here we learn how the mind pulls axons together to create networks of understanding, and how emotion drives the production levels of hormones to accelerate or hinder the signals that pass through them.
If you have ever wondered how to improve intelligence, this is the book for you, because it shows you how!
“The most important books I have ever read about a child’s intelligence.”
Prof. Tatyana Oleinik. Pedagogical University. Ukraine.
“Roy’s series of books are very important books and should be read by every parent and educator in the world. They represent a real breakthrough in our understanding of what intelligence is and how it develops, and the importance of changing the ways students are both parented and educated. Roy is doing for learning the work that is as significant as was that done in the past by such figures as John Dewey. These are must-reads for both parents and educators alike.”
Prof / Dean Emeritus David Martin Ph.D Gallaudet University Washington, D.C. USA
- This book takes over from Intelligence: the Great Lie to explain how intelligence really comes to be and the importance of knowing of this.
“Roy's books are never dull, not even for a moment. Beautifully written! Roy has written in such a way that anyone can pick up his books and understand where he is coming from and where he is going in his thoughts, that offer profound insight into what is wrong with school, and why we need to change the ways we are preparing our children for the world they will live in.I would recommend that ALL educators read his books, especially “Teacher, Parent, Child,” as they will definitely be refreshed and challenged to re-think their position as teachers in these challenging times."
Rachel Wong. Principal. Malaysia
"Roy's series of books clearly and methodically map out exactly how students learn. He isn't afraid to address head-on the many misconceptions that are plaguing our society and thus having a negative impact on our students’ learning. Parents and educators who read these books will not only have a better understanding, but will also be inspired to change in their attitudes and preconceived notions on how students can excel in their learning. If you've ever wanted to unravel how student's learn, then these books are the answer you have been looking for! They should be mandatory reading for every parent and educator.”
Erin Calhoun. National Institute of Learning Development. USA
“Dear Roy, What you have done should reach out to all the parents, parents-to-be and other practitioners such as kindergarten teachers, primary and secondary teachers. You have done extraordinary work!”
* Chun Hong Zong. Educator. China
"These books should be in the library of each school in every corner of the world. They should also be part of the syllabus in the institutions who are offer child psychology, and teacher training diplomas and degree programs, or at least they should be the part of a refresher course.”
* M.Imran Khan. CEO AIMMS Universities. UAE.

Descripción de la tienda
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
