First Edition. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. [528]p., Various pagings, + 5 folded maps + 28 engraved illustrations on 28 leaves + [30]p. of advertisements. A very good copy, with a three quarter inch tear in the middle of the spine, faint wear on the corners of the covers, the large New England map has a two-inch tear and the Long Island Sound map has a half-inch tear. All five maps are present and there are 28 engraved illustrations, one more than is called for. The extra plate shows the Berlin Falls in the White Mountains. There are two plates which are labeled Taghkanic Falls, and since they are not alike one can assume that one is of the Falls of Ithaca which is called for in the list of illustrations, but does not appear. The binding is tight, but some of the sections of this book are weak (the pages are not sprung or loose, but the sections are not bound in as firmly as one would hope. It is a short thick book, however, and one would guess that this is a better than average state of the binding. The gold lettering on the green cloth front cover is nice and bright. This is certainly a presentable and serviceable copy. And it is complete. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. N° de ref. de la librería 009836

The Chatham Bookseller began in 1968, and, in 1970, opened a store at its present location in Madison, New Jersey. The store contains over 10,000 books and 80 subjects, and favors good used books and good literature over popular books and bestsellers. The store carries hardcover and paperbacks. Our Internet business began in 2001. The approximately 4,000 Internet books and pamphlets are kept on the premises, but cannot be viewed as a whole. However, we can show and sell individual titles upon request. If you can call ahead, it would be appreciated. Unless you have called ahead, we cannot show Internet books on Sundays. We appreciate all of our customers and try to serve them well and fulfill their special needs. The store hours are 9-5:30 Tuesday through Friday except 6:30 on Thursday, 10:00 to 5:00 on Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday. The business is owned and operated by Richard Chalfin and Kathy Rodgers
