Print on Demand. This book delves into the intricate world of ancient Hebrew prophecy, offering a profound exploration of the Book of Ezekiel. Set against the backdrop of the Babylonian exile, a pivotal period in Jewish history, it unveils the prophet Ezekiel's visions, symbolic actions, and messages of both despair and hope. The author meticulously examines Ezekiel's role as a "watchman" to his people, tasked with delivering warnings of impending destruction and promises of eventual restoration. Central to this exploration is the concept of divine justice and the nature of God's relationship with Israel. The book delves into themes of idolatry, divine wrath, repentance, and the promise of a renewed covenant. Through careful analysis of Ezekiel's prophecies and symbolic language, this book provides valuable insights into the theological and historical context of the exile. It sheds light on the prophet's unique literary style, characterized by vivid imagery, allegory, and a deep understanding of the political and social realities of his time. Ultimately, this book offers a compelling interpretation of Ezekiel's message, highlighting its enduring relevance to our understanding of faith, divine justice, and the complexities of human existence. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

The Book Of Ezekiel is less suited than most others to be the subject Of merely popular annotation. The state Of the Text is such that frequent references to it as well as to the Versions are unavoidable. It was no part Of the purpose of the following Notes to construct a Text; the thing aimed at has been to shew the general meaning of the Book, and, if possible, the connexion Of its parts with one another; but the readings of the LXX. Have generally been adduced when they presented any important deviation from the Hebrew. In the later chapters the ms. Of which the Greek is a translation was in many instances more correct than that of which the present Hebrew is a copy.
