[xv] & pp. 201-526 pages; Publisher's green cloth, title lettered in gilt on the spine and, within a gilt decorative border, on the front cover. Date is not printed in the book, but approx. 1908. Minor damage to the covers, with a short split along the hinge, wear at the spine ends and a break and tear to the fore-edge of the front cover. Internally sound and very good. This is section II of the version of Henry W. Cave's 1908 'Book of Ceylon' which was divided into three separately bound sections. It is devoted to Kandy and the Highlands. [The others, not present here, were -- Part I - Colombo, the South-West Coast, and the Kelani Valley ( pp. 1-199); and Part III: The Northern Provinces, (pp 527-649)].
