Sinopsis:

This book is intended for researchers active in the field of (blind) system identification and aims to provide new identification ideas/insights for dealing with challenging system identification problems. It presents a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art in the area, which would save a lot of time and avoid collecting the scattered information from research papers, reports and unpublished work. Besides, it is a self-contained book by including essential algebraic, system and optimization theories, which can help graduate students enter the amazing blind system identification world with less effort.

Acerca del autor: Chengpu Yu has been working on (blind) system identification for more than 10 years. So far, he has published more than 20 first-authored papers on renowned journals such as IEEE-TAC, IEEE-TSP, Automatica, etc. Now, he is serving as an associate editor for the journal of “Control Theory and Technology”.

Lihua Xie mainly focuses on the research of networked control, multi-agent systems, sensor networks, compressive sensing, localization, and unmanned systems. He has authored/co-authored 8 books, over 320 journal papers, and 4 patents. He was listed as a highly cited researcher by Thomson Reuters in 2014, 2015 and 2016. He is currently an Editor-in-Chief of Unmanned Systems and Associate Editor, IEEE Transactions on Network Control Systems. He has served as Editor for IET Book Series in Control and Associate Editor for Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, IEEE Transactions on Circuit and Systems-II, etc. DrXie is Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of IFAC, and an elected member of the Board of Governors of IEEE Control System Society (2016-2018).

Michel Verhaegen is a recipient of Advanced Grant Program of the European Research Council. His research mainly focuses on the interdisciplinary domain of numerical algebra and system theory. In this field he has published over 100 papers. Current activities focus on the transfer of knowledge about new identification, fault tolerant control and data-driven controller design methodologies to industry. Application areas include smart structures, adaptive optics, and wind energy.

Jie Chen is now the President of Tongji University. His research interests include complex systems, multi-agent systems, multi-objective optimization and decision, constrained nonlinear control, and optimization methods. Prof. Chen serves as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Systems Science and Complexity, and is an Editorial Board Member and an AssociateEditor for several journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, and Science China Information Sciences. He is a recipient of the National Natural Science Award of China, and the National Science and Technology Progress Awards of China. He is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a Chief Scientist of National 973 Basic Research Program, the Principal Investigator of an Innovative Research-Group Program supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China.
