nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articlesavailable from Wikipedia or other free sources online. A series ofbiochemical switches control transitions between and within the variousphases of the cell cycle. The cell cycle is a series of complexordered, sequential events that control how a single cell divides intotwo cells, and involves several different phases (growth or G1 and G2DNA replication or S phase, and the actual process of cell divisionmitosis or M phase). These switches maintain the orderly progression ofthe cell cycle and act as checkpoints to ensure that each phase has beenproperly completed before progression to the next phase. Suchmulti-component (involving multiple inter-linked proteins) switches havebeen shown to generate decisive, robust (and potentially irreversible)transitions and trigger stable oscillations[2]. As a result, they are asubject of active research that tries to understand how such complexproperties are wired into biological control systems.…
