Biblical Foundations for the Cell-Based Church

By Joel Comiskey, Ph.D.

Why Cell Church?

Is it because David Cho’s church is the largest in Christian history? Or because many “great” churches embrace this model? No. The real answer is deeper: biblical truth is the only lasting foundation. Without it, our ministry lacks strength and direction. With it, we can endure anything, knowing God is calling us to live and lead biblically.

What’s Inside

In this groundbreaking book, Dr. Joel Comiskey shows how the Bible itself demands small group community:

• The Trinity — our perfect model for community.

• The Old Testament family — the root image of God’s people.

• Jesus and His new family — disciples meeting in homes.

• The early church — house churches that multiplied leaders, shared mission, and gathered for celebration.

Finally, Comiskey brings these truths into today’s context, giving practical steps for building a church that looks and acts like the New Testament community.
