Paperback. In the vast, chilly Antarctic, the huddle is where all the penguins go to stay cozy. But for Henry, the huddle feels a bit too close, a bit too loud, and a bit too much. Henry wants to explore the icy blue waters and slide across the snow, but he needs a different kind of warmth to help him get there. When Henry receives a special red scarf, everything changes. No longer tied to the center of the huddle, Henry finds the quiet courage to step out onto the ice. Along the way, he discovers that being "just right" doesn't mean doing things the same way as everyone else-it means finding the tools that help your light shine brightest.A Resource for Inclusive Collections Created by Higher Education professional Nellie Nakhel, Beyond the Huddle is specifically engineered for neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive readers. Utilizes Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, including: Visual Accessibility: Features the Andika font and 1.7x line spacing to support visual processing and reduce "crowding" for early readers.Low-Arousal Aesthetics: Calming watercolors and a deep Inky Blue text palette minimize sensory overwhelm.Social-Emotional Growth: A gentle narrative that validates self-accommodation, independence, and the spectrum of human (and penguin) experience.Perfect for: Elementary school libraries, inclusive classrooms, and speech or occupational therapy settings. A picture book about Henry, a penguin who finds the huddle "too much." With a special red scarf, Henry discovers that staying warm in his own way is just right. Designed for early readers with sensory-friendly layouts. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
