Paperback. In this book live twenty-five impossible beings: a man made of night, a woman of mist, a boy who wakes sleeping memories. They are not fantasy creatures, but forms of the soul-disguised mirrors, metaphors that breathe.Bestiary of the Soul: Twenty-Five Brief Encounters with the Unseen builds a world where the human and the metaphysical brush against each other without warning. Each story embodies a question-never a lesson-and lets philosophy hide in the folds of the impossible. This book does not want to convince you of anything; it wants to open a soft crack, a small tremor you may not know how to name. There are no answers here, only resonances. If, when you close these pages, you feel that something is watching you from inside your own shadow, that time has changed weight, or that a forgotten memory has stirred without being called, then this bestiary has done its work. This is not a book to be solved. It is a book to be inhabited.About the authorEdwin Alverio (Puerto Rico) is an educator, painter, and writer. He has published poetry, fiction, and books for teaching Spanish.
