Descripción del artículo del vendedor

Integrating nature conservation objectives into forestry management practices can protect and foster biodiversity in forests. Nature conservation and forest management describe common pathways in this best practice handbook for how near-natural elements can be integrated into forest management practices. It also outlines how managed forests can increasingly become a habitat for forest species with specific habitat requirements such as fungi, beetles, birds, bats and other mammals, mosses, ferns and flowering plants. In two research and development projects in the period between 2000 and 2014, scientists and practitioners developed concrete recommendations for the integration of nature conservation objectives into beech forest management and over 30 fact sheets for key forest structures. This handbook is the product of the scientific studies and forest management experiences in the last 15 years. It is primarily geared toward forest practitioners, forest owners, nature conservationists and forest administrations and clearly demonstrates the shared aim of protecting forest biodiversity and permanently recovering lost elements. 185 pp., num. photos & figs, spiral bound 8 [18.5 x 22.5 cm].…
