Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this meticulously researched, uncommon genealogy. OCLC (No. 866438490) locates only a half dozen copies at institutions worldwide - including the Library of Congress in Washington, the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and the American Historical Society of Germans From Russia in Lincoln, Nebraska. This massive work explores her ancestry going back 400 years, with an emphasis on the Sauer, Stuckle, Uhl, Madche, Broeckel, Steiger, Brenneise and related families. In the process a brief history and geography of the Black Sea Area is presented, along with a history of Germans from Russia.
