A Beginner's Guide to Gnosticism (Paperback)

What if the deepest truth about your spiritual nature has been hidden in plain sight for centuries?

Gnosticism is one of the most powerful and misunderstood spiritual traditions in history. Its teachers claimed that human beings carry a divine spark within, that awakening comes through inner knowledge, and that much of what passes for spiritual authority can actually keep people asleep.

When the Nag Hammadi texts were discovered in Egypt in 1945, the modern world gained access to ancient writings that challenged conventional ideas about God, creation, and the self. These texts revealed a bold spiritual vision centered on remembrance, awakening, and liberation.

In this clear, source-grounded introduction, you will explore the essential ideas of the Gnostic tradition through important texts such as the Gospel of Thomas, the Secret Book of John, the Gospel of Truth, the Gospel of Philip, the Pistis Sophia, the Hymn of the Pearl, and more.

Inside, you will discover:

• The Gnostic story of creation, including Sophia's fall, the false creator god Ialdabaoth, and the seven planetary rulers known as the Archons
• What the divine spark is, why it stands at the center of Gnostic teaching, and how the ancient texts describe its presence within you
• How fear, distraction, and the mechanism the Gnostics called fate keep human beings spiritually unconscious
• How remembrance begins and what awakening looks like in the texture of everyday life
• Practical techniques drawn from the tradition itself, including the Archon Inventory, Sacred Unknowing, the Hymn of the Pearl meditation, and the Practice of Remembrance

Also included: a Gnostic worldview appendix, a historical timeline from the first century through 1945, a Frequently Asked Questions section, and a guide to the primary Gnostic scriptures for further reading.

Whether you are questioning conventional religion, exploring the hidden currents beneath Christian history, seeking a more direct spiritual path, or looking for ways to bring ancient wisdom into daily practice, this book offers a compelling introduction to one of the most profound spiritual traditions ever recorded.

Most books on Gnosticism either overwhelm readers with academic language or drift into vague spirituality disconnected from the original sources. This guide grounds each major theme in ancient texts while translating those teachings into clear language and practical insight.

The Gnostics taught that awakening begins with remembrance. Beneath conditioning, fear, and social programming, something divine remains present within you. This book is not about adopting another belief system. It is about recovering a forgotten vision of human spiritual dignity and rediscovering the light the ancient teachers insisted was already there.

The divine spark within you has never been extinguished. It has only been forgotten.
