Neuware - Livia Moretti photographs the things powerful people pay to keep hidden. She doesn't expect the abandoned Harbor Exchange building to hand her a murder. One accountant dead, a dirty deal exposed, and a Voss family security badge in the last place it should be - her camera catches all of it, including the one image that could send the wrong man to prison. Within hours, the men hunting for her memory card are outside her apartment. The one who gets there first is the man she saw kneeling over the body. Nico Voss doesn't make promises - a lesson he learned the hard way, and one he's never let himself forget. Keeping the photojournalist alive is supposed to be simple: hide her, control the evidence, wait out the danger. But Livia won't stay hidden, won't hand over her camera, and won't stop looking at him like she's trying to develop the one photograph that would prove exactly what kind of man he is. The longer he protects her, the harder it gets to remember why he stopped letting himself want anything he could lose. Behind the murder is a woman neither of them sees coming, and a plan to destroy the Voss family from the inside - using Livia's own photographs as the weapon. From a hotel gala to the darkest corners of their own city, Livia and Nico have to decide how much truth they can survive together, and whether a man built to be a weapon still gets to choose who he loves. Book Two in the Beautiful Predators series, Beautifully Claimed stands complete on its own - a slow-burn, forced-proximity dark romance about the people who protect us, the truths that cost everything, and a love neither of them planned for. One market note worth flagging: Danielle Lori's The Sweetest Oblivion - one of the biggest mafia-romance titles of the last few years - centers on a couple named Elena and Nico. Not a legal issue, but since your Book One already has an Elena and this book's hero is Nico, it's a pairing dark-romance readers know well. Worth being aware of before you lock the name in.…
