Paperback. Attacked by a bear. Possessed by puns. Surviving it all.You know those moments life throws at you that are so absurd, so terrifying, so utterly unbelievable that the only sane response is to laugh? On October 10, 2016, Dan Richman was attacked by a black bear while jogging a familiar trail above his hometown of Sierra Madre, California. He survived over a hundred stitches, a national media frenzy, an SNL Weekend Update mention, and a recovery that reshaped everything he thought he knew about gratitude, humor, and the strange ways a traumatized brain decides to heal.Bears, Crafty, Baseball, Covid and I Double Mean It is a one-of-a-kind memoir told through puns, rhymes, wordplay, and double meanings that emerged from a mind jolted into creative overdrive. From the film industry world of Crafts Service to his family's deep love of Dodgers baseball, from quarantine guitar sessions to a politically divided nation grappling with COVID-19, Richman channels five extraordinary years into a book that is equal parts survival story, comedy act, and heartfelt tribute to the people who carried him through. Inside these pages, you will find: - A gripping firsthand account of a bear attack and the surreal media circus that followed- Over 50 crafty double meanings, wordplay puzzles, rhymes, and even anti-viral song lyrics born from quarantine- A surprisingly thoughtful political questionnaire that invites you to examine where you stand, without telling you where you shouldGrateful, irreverent, and completely original, this is the book Dan Richman's bear never saw coming.
