Some stayed for only a short time, while others have endured for millennia; many have felt the effects of human influence (or outright interference). In this intricately illustrated gatefold book, diverse groupings of creatures parade forward as the text describes the threats to their existence--until they encounter the embrace of adoring children, the conservators of all our futures.
