In the poem ‘To my brother in the sea,’ we find the line, ‘No man sails without tales.’ Steve Anc is a poet who appreciates the power of a story told well.There is further wisdom expressed simply and clearly in the poem ‘The Girl That Doesn’t Wear Slippers,’ where we find the universally truthful observation that ‘freedom comes with envy.’
This collection performs what poetry does best of all the forms of creative writing: expressing multitudes of experiences and emotions in just a few lines. In ‘My Letter to the Lady Bianca’, we are given the following lovely lines:
Where your smile will serene the sky.
Where we could live for the moment,
And do the things that come to mind.
Living for the moment and learning from interactions with the world around us are recurring themes in this collection. The poet introduces us to learned figures such as ‘The man who understood privilege.’ This mythic character ‘sings the joy of the earth’, and ‘knows the tolerance of time’. There is a consistent sense of universal truths expressed with the warmth of heart and considerable artistry of expression in this collection.
In poems like ‘Ode to Greedy, Steve Anc assumes the voice of the wise old sage when forensically exposing the nature of one of humanity’s worst traits: ‘Naturally susceptible, wicked but weak.’ Again, the cumulative effect of these poems is that we are in receipt of privileged insights from wise and experienced voices who know something of the world. This collection is not only enjoyable but also nourishing. Take the final stanza of the poem ‘The mountain you climbed’, for instance:
But life is a passing shadow,
And all things have a cycle;
Even the slowest snail had climbed,
And the fainted strength had risen;
Because after the destruction, rebirth.
There is such a pleasing sense of perspective to the above lines. They capture the essence of a collection that will delight fans with beautiful images and well-chosen wordplay but will also provide reassurance and generous wisdom in uncertain and often scary times. Tiene derecho a rescindir este contrato en un plazo de 14 días sin dar ningún motivo.
El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).

Efectos del desistimiento

Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
Efectuaremos el reembolso utilizando el mismo medio de pago que utilizó para la transacción inicial, a menos que haya acordado expresamente lo contrario; en cualquier caso, no incurrirá en ningún cargo como resultado de dicho reembolso.
Podremos retener el reembolso hasta que hayamos recibido los bienes o hasta que nos haya presentado una prueba de que los ha devuelto, lo que ocurra primero.
Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
