A very handsome copy of the first edition and printing of the book from 1975, in hardcover with a dust jacket (DJ). The book also comes with a separate pamphlet of James C. Freund's follow-up to the book, titled "A Turbulent Decade for Deals: Anatomy of a Merger Revisited", which was tucked behind the back cover when I bought it. The pamphlet appears to be a first edition and printing as well, and is in excellent condition other than a flap tear to the front cover at the top edge near the spine. Pamphlet text is bright, clean and clear of markings. The book condition is Near Fine+, and the DJ condition is Good+. The text is in pristine condition - the pages are bright, clean, and clear of writing, markings, highlighting, etc. Binding tight. Hinges tight. There's a small ding to the fore edges of ~5 pages. The DJ has small rips and chips along top and bottom of spine, and at DJ corners, which are also bumped a bit. DJ ink rubbed in spots. Top edge of front of DJ bumped.
