Packed with Andrew Rae's incredible and quirky illustrations, this book is filled with outlandish real-life inventions that are too bizarre to believe. From a dog umbrella to a submarine that looks like a plane (or even a shark!), there’s no limit to the wacky ideas that inspire. Have you ever thought of a swimming machine that keeps you dry, or a car wash for people? Or how about a hamster-powered phone charger?
With plenty of space for kids to sketch their own awesome inventions, like a beach buggy, a new candy, or even a transformer dinosaur, this sketchbook is a playground for imagination. Plus, it even includes a patent certificate to make their creations official! Get ready to dream, draw, and invent!

Acerca del autor
Lisa Regan studied English and Linguistics at the University of Nottingham and gained a postgraduate diploma in Publishing at West Herts College. She has written over 400 published titles, including picture books, puzzle books, children's reference and curriculum-linked workbooks. She lives in Shrewsbury, UK, with her sons, and a husband with an encyclopaedic knowledge of football.
Her work ranges from magazine-style books on fashion and sleepovers, to highly illustrated STEM titles that fit into schools and libraries lists. Her favourite topics are wildlife and geography, but she also has huge fun writing rhyming tales.
Andrew Rae is an illustrator who uses simple hand rendered line and a combination of paper, felt pens, watercolour, ipad, iMac and Wacom pads and screens to render irreverent images of characters, ghouls, robots, machines and creatures which are used in an editorial, publishing, advertising, animation and mural context. He is a regular contributor to The New York Times Magazine and has worked for many clients worldwide including Apple, The London Science Museum, Google and The Guardian.
