‘Timeless tales of tears, triumph and turmoil’ is the byline for this new collection of work from the Hartlepool Writers. The theme running through this well presented Anthology is ‘isolation’ in all its forms, with confounding titles such as ‘Fruit, Bacteria at a Pinch, But No Bears’ through to something more traditional such as “The Cave’. This eclectic mix of stories generated by a broad range of HWG story tellers provides something for everyone, from the very amusing ... to the very dark.
From a few hundred words to a few thousand, each story is presented to the reader as unique and previously unpublished. ‘Abandon Ship’ might be the’ Last Words’ spoken by a very young Able Seaman ... but the story does not end there! We hope you enjoy this expressive mix of writing and writing styles and if any of the stories contained here make you smile ... or make you ponder for any length of time, then our job here is done!
