Esther Tulkoff read thousands of short stories to more than 600 children during her 30 years as a kindergarten teacher. It was a natural transition from kindergarten teacher to a short story writer. The hundreds of simply stated yet poignant children's books are the inspiration that imbues Esther Tulkoff's short story writing style as a literary artist: short and sweet with laughter and tears.
