Aelar never asked to be chosen. He never asked to be feared. He only wanted to protect the people he loved.
But when a rising darkness sweeps across the land, stealing children, hollowing villages and whispering his name Aelar, a young Elf with a fractured past, is thrust into a destiny he never imagined. Alongside Joren, the loyal smith who refuses to leave his side, and Durvin, a stubborn dwarf with a hammer and a heart of gold, Aelar uncovers a truth buried for centuries:
He is Lightborn, descendant of a forgotten order, heir to a power the world believed lost.
Hunted by a corrupted ancient force and guided by visions he barely understands, Aelar must confront the shadows within himself as much as those consuming the world. His journey leads him to Solnuaire, the hidden city of the Lightborn, where revelations about his mother, his lineage and the true nature of the Darkness threaten to break him.
But Aelar is not alone.
With his unlikely family beside him, he must choose between the quiet life he once knew… and the destiny that could save... or shatter... the world.
Epic, emotional and richly woven, this is the story of a Man becoming a beacon, a world on the brink and the fragile, unbreakable bonds that hold them together.
