Print on Demand. This book argues that the evidence for the Gospels’ authenticity is significant and substantial. It delves into the Gospels’ origins, focusing on the historical context in which they were written. The author examines the content of the Gospels, arguing that they could only have been written by individuals with direct knowledge of the events described. The book also addresses objections to the Gospels’ authenticity, such as claims of contradictions within the texts and the allegation that they were written long after the events they describe. Ultimately, the author concludes that the evidence strongly supports the Gospels’ authenticity, making them valuable historical documents that provide an accurate account of Jesus’ life and teachings. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …

But it may be said, that this self-contradiction of Eichhorn should not he insisted upon; that it is a mere oversight, an hallucination. It was not, however, a temporary hallucina tion. Several years after the appearance of what I have just quoted, that is in 1827, the last year of his life, he published the fourth and fifth volumes of his Introduction to the New Testament; and in the fourth volume, without retracting, or referring to, the main positions of his hypoth esis, he contradicts them as explicitly as in the passage that has been quoted. He is treating of the collection of the books of the New Testament into two volumes, as he supposes, one containing the Gospels and the other the Epistles.
