Paperback. What if the limits we accept as reality are not limits at all?Ingrid Hansson is a former nun, a professor of medieval and church history, and a woman whose understanding of God has already taken her far beyond the religion she once knew. Her husband, Thomas Morgan, an American engineer, has learned from the mysterious Aevan and Amara that distance, matter, disease, and even death are not what humanity has assumed them to be.Now those discoveries begin reaching far beyond their own lives. When the sudden death of one of Ingrid's young students forces her to confront everything she believes about God and mortality, Cardinal Johan Nystroem is facing a crisis of his own. His beloved sister is dying of cancer. What follows changes Johan forever and brings him into a deeper understanding of Consciousness, healing, and the teachings of the Master. As Johan carries those discoveries to Pope Marcellus III, two men at the highest levels of the Catholic Church begin asking a dangerous question: What if Christianity has preserved the words of Jesus while losing much of what he actually taught?Meanwhile, Ingrid and Thomas travel from the ancient stone circles of Orkney to Iona, following evidence of civilizations, monasteries, and religious institutions that remembered the form long after forgetting the purpose. Ingrid's discoveries eventually lead her to write Living the Christian Life: The Way the Master Taught It, a book whose unexpected success carries her ideas to readers around the world-and directly into the Vatican.Across No Limits is a mystical novel of love, history, spiritual discovery, and the possibility that humanity is far greater than it has ever imagined. It asks what might happen if people ceased merely worshiping the Master-and began taking seriously what he said they could become. This item is printed on demand. What if the limits we accept as reality are not limits at all?
Ingrid Hansson is a former nun, a professor of medieval and church history, and a woman whose understanding of God has already taken her far beyond the religion she once knew. Her husband, Thomas Morgan, an American engineer, has learned from the mysterious Aevan and Amara that distance, matter, disease, and even death are not what humanity has assumed them to be.
Now those discoveries begin reaching far beyond their own lives.
When the sudden death of one of Ingrid's young students forces her to confront everything she believes about God and mortality, Cardinal Johan Nyström is facing a crisis of his own. His beloved sister is dying of cancer. What follows changes Johan forever and brings him into a deeper understanding of Consciousness, healing, and the teachings of the Master.
As Johan carries those discoveries to Pope Marcellus III, two men at the highest levels of the Catholic Church begin asking a dangerous question: What if Christianity has preserved the words of Jesus while losing much of what he actually taught?
Meanwhile, Ingrid and Thomas travel from the ancient stone circles of Orkney to Iona, following evidence of civilizations, monasteries, and religious institutions that remembered the form long after forgetting the purpose. Ingrid's discoveries eventually lead her to write Living the Christian Life: The Way the Master Taught It, a book whose unexpected success carries her ideas to readers around the world-and directly into the Vatican.
Across No Limits is a mystical novel of love, history, spiritual discovery, and the possibility that humanity is far greater than it has ever imagined. It asks what might happen if people ceased merely worshiping the Master-and began taking seriously what he said they could become.
