ASSESSMENT OF RISK MANAGEMENT PRACTICE OF AWASH COOPERATIVE BANK

The purpose of this study is to assess and identify the risk management practice of Cooperative Bank of Awash at Bahir Dar branch. In this research paper the researcher stated background of the study ,statement of problem, the general and specific objectives the study ,significance of the study , scope of the study, limitation of the study and organization of the study in chapter one. To conduct the research, primary source of data was used. The primary data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. Open ended and close ended questionnaires was distributed to employees of Cooperative Bank of Awash at Bahir Dar Town .The information obtained from 7 purposely sampled respondents was used to find out the problem. The collected data was analyzed and presented by using table and percentage. Then researcher is find out that application of risk management practice need adjustment especially on credit risk management. Finally, the researcher was tried to give the conclusions and recommendation based on findings observed from the study.
