### A Catalogue of WORKS by ALICE N DEVETOGLOU 1975-1995 No.87 of 1000 Copies only Printed ### ## THIS IS RARE & UNIQUE: Classified AS NEW, this is the 1995 edition?an unusual way of publishing Alice's Biography of Painting and Drawings. The cover looks like leatherette in dark green, wrapped around #, gilded title and overlap joint in a pale greenish grey linen, which continues into the inside. As you open the two half-page flaps, you see the painting of her White Magnolias in Acrylic 1992, and from there, onto more of her paintings, going through all her stages of thought. The other uniqueness of this collection is that from the front, all the text is in Greek: if you start to read from page 189, all the text is in English. All painting titles are in both languages. The paper stock for all pages is smooth and of good weight, which is noticeable in how the text and illustrations are so clear. ## ## I have searched many engines and trolled the internet, and Alice is very elusive, I have an ISBN, but that doesn't help. The Dates shown from 1975 to 1995 are the 20 years she painted or sketched those paintings and sketches within the book. I am unsure what to call the item; is it a book or a portfolio?
